Traditionally, a barn housed livestock, grain, and equipment. Today, the definition has expanded.
At Cascadia Barn Designs, a barn may be:

- A pole barn workshop

- A man cave or she shed
- A rural outbuilding or storage structure
We design architecturally grounded buildings for both rural and urban settings, expanding the traditional barn into something modern, refined, and highly functional.

We recognize that one size may not fit all. Many of our designs have been built, some have not. We believe that all of our designs have broad appeal but understand that our customers are individuals with unique situations and requirements.
This means that at times it will be necessary to customize a given design to create a truly bespoke building, one that fits an individual Owner’s unique set of circumstances. Thus our shop is literally a boutique where one-of-a-kind buildings are created.

We offer a continually expanding boutique catalogue of custom building plans that presents property owners – especially those with sophisticated taste but limited budget – with interesting, utile, easily constructed building plans that are EXTRA-ordinary!

Each Cascadia Barn Designs plan delivers a complete architectural and structural drawing set, ready for real-world construction.
Your plan set includes:
- Fully dimensioned floor plans for every level
- Exterior elevations and building cross sections
- Foundation plan with structural specifications
- Floor and roof framing plans with member sizes, connections, and lateral bracing
- Construction details for foundations, framing, stairs, and decks
Delivered as a PDF in eight to twelve professional 24″ x 36″ sheets, drawn at standard architectural scales. Standard structural details, foundation specifications, beam, floor joist, and roof rafter call-outs are included, along with standard energy-saving requirements like insulation specifications.
